2 of Wands - What You Really Want

Another numerologically synchronous card for our day! February 2 (2/2) reveals our messenger to be the 2 of Wands! Lettie Jane Rennenkamp offers us this blessing on the card: “Big big plans, you are likely to be successful, just keep in touch with what you really want.” And on the shadow side: “Your plans just can’t connect. Warm up your feet and remember the excitement you started with.”

Mars in Aries - The Spark

We have another month with Mars in Taurus, and I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely finding myself craving some of that fired-up late-2020 Mars in Aries energy. Mars in Aries is the fiery drive that can jump-start almost any endeavor. Both personally and collectively this placement backs us up with the energy of: action, self-assertion, courage, daring, passion, adventure...even righteous aggression, violence, competition, combat. Mars in Aries also can get us so heated that we enter into a space of trancelike euphoric fearlessness.

For this reason, I will have today’s Invocation Sigil be calling in Euphoric Fearlessness

Our will to act is very rooted and stable at this time, grounded in an earthy slowness. This is excellent in so many ways, because a slow-build is a strong build. However, we still need fuel - especially as the 2 of Wands indicates that we are pushing a new(ish) project into its physically manifested form. Chiron in Aries gives us this fuel through the vessel of the Wounded Healer.

And wouldn’t you know that the novile aspect is often related to the process of pregnancy? Here we have the opportunity for an idea or form to become organically viable. The energy is subtle and sensitive, we don’t want to spook our healer, especially as fire is just as volatile as it is powerful. So I see this like the dial on a gas stove, we have to set it perfectly in order to honor and heal our Chiron (Wounded Healer) within while providing enough fuel for our Tarean foundation to maintain the momentum to actually build a structure.
